Zach played all four years of his college career with the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, where he started in his junior and senior years. Zach began his CFL career with the Toronto Argonauts, behind Ricky Ray. After only 2 seasons (and a Grey Cup) with the boatmen, Collaros was signed by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats where he commanded a majority of the offensive snaps until 2017. This season, Collaros moves to the West division where he will suit up for the Saskatchewan Roughriders!
