The 2012 season marks the 100th Grey Cup; as such the Canadian Football League’s eight teams will be unveiling modified jerseys from Reebok before training camps begin in June. This will be the first time in years that all teams will be part of the change.
The league has worked in collaboration with Reebok to re-engineer team jerseys for the way the game is played today. The league says the new jerseys will provide increased elasticity and improved resiliency, along with moisture-wicking technology. Reebok Canada says the collaboration process with the CFL took two years.
Around the league, most teams have begun making announcements building the public suspense for the final jersey unveilings. The east division teams are expected to unveil their respective jerseys on May 1st. The western teams will do so on the 2nd.
As the dates approach, suspense builds for fans as we begin to speculate what to expect.
