CFLPA RESPONDS TO DRUG POLICY VIOLATION

(Stoney Creek, ON) The Canadian Football League Players’ Association does not condone the use of prohibited substances’‎ by its members, and supports the CFL/CFLPA Policy to Prevent the Use of Performance Enhancing Drugs.

The policy recognizes previous violations from Canadian Interuniversity Sport, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the National Football League (NFL) and other World Anti-Doping Association (WADA) tested sports.

The player will be subject to mandatory drug testing and will participate in an assessment and clinical evaluation to determine if any additional counselling and or education is required.
