Signed with the Ottawa Redblacks as a free agent in February 2018, the Riders in May 2016, the B.C. Lions in April 2015 and with the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings in March 2014. In 2018, Leonard started in 17 regular-season games for the Redblacks registering career-highs with 50 defensive tackles and six quarterback sacks. He also added three tackles for loss and three fumble recoveries. Leonard was named a 2018 East Division All-Star.


Played two seasons at Tennessee State (2012-13) registering 1,174 yards and 11 touchdowns on 85 receptions. Leonard spent 2011 season at Florida University and had eight receptions for 99 yards.
