Barron continued his outstanding CFL career starting all 18 games at safety in yet another all-star campaign. Led the CFL with his second highest career total of nine interceptions returning them for a total of 119 yards. He notched two picks in two separate games and two stretches of four games where he intercepted four opponent passes.  Barron also blocked the 12th kick of his career on Jul 25/08 vs Mtl (a Damon Duval convert attempt). His 46 tackles were the most for him since 2002. He also ran his career playoff game appearances to 11 with starts in the West Semi and Final.


Picked up where he left off in 2006 adding another fine season to his CFL career earning another West All-Star spot. He grabbed 3 interceptions and added two more blocked kicks to go with 39 defensive tackles. Played in all 18 regular season contests plus the West Final in which he made 5 tackles.


A career-year for the nine-year veteran as he terrorized opposing quarterbacks to the tune of a CFL-best 10 interceptions for 206 return yards and two TD’s. Barron also added 39 defensive tackles, four pass knockdowns as well as three forced fumbles and fumble recovery through 18 regular season games. Barron also notched one defensive tackle, a blocked kick and a sack in the West Championship as well as three defensive tackles in the Grey Cup. Barron’s outstanding play earned him spots on both the West Division and CFL All-Star squads as well as the CFLPA All-Star Team.


Started 17 of 18 games for the Lions at safety missing only one game due to injury. Named to the 2005 West All-Star team as a defensive back and led the Lions with 6 interceptions (4th in the CFL). Was recognized by the CFL as Defensive Player-of-the-Week for Sep 13/05.


Named to the East Division All-Star Team grabbing 6 interceptions (4th in the CFL).


Was again named to the CFL All-Star Team and ranked 3rd in the league with 7 interceptions. Awarded the James P. McCaffrey Trophy as the East's Top Defensive Player.

A two-year starter at cornerback, Miles was a force in the Nebraska secondary.  A special teams ace, he blocked 5 punts.


Barron was very active this off season taking part in numerous Lion charitable events and programs such as Lions in the House. Miles and his wife, Jennifer Bazata are the proud parents of three children.
