Keyes has played nine games (seven starts) and has recorded 26 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles and two knockdowns. On August 29 he recorded the first Eskimo interception of the year and returned it 67 yards. He was on the reserve list for the fourth game.
Keyes was a standout defensive back at Alabama-Birmingham. In two years with UAB, Keyes recorded 106 tackles, 20 pass knockdowns, four tackles for a loss and three interceptions. He transferred from Jones County Junior College (Mississippi) where he was the only player in the conference to play on both sides of the ball – defensive back and running back. He was also a member of the school’s basketball, baseball and track & field teams
Keyes was very active in the community while with the Dallas Desperados mentoring at-risk youth. Bobby and his wife, Zakia, have two sons, Braylon and Seancole. The avid outdoors man is interested in having a coaching career when he is finished playing.
