Randall dressed for all 18 games in 2008, going 6-12 for 66 yards in the final game of season against Hamilton. He also rushed 12 times for 78 yards in 2008, including running five times for 37 yards in an October win at Montreal.
Was a key figure for the Virginia Tech Hokies during an award-winning college career. As a senior, earned ACC player of the year after throwing for 2,264 yards and rushing for 511 yards. As a junior in 2003, Randall split duties with Marcus Vick, though he did start each of the 13 games. Completed 150 of 245 passes for 1,996 yards with 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He rushed for 366 yards on 65 carries with four touchdowns. In 2002, Randall had a breakout sophomore season, playing in all 14 games, starting the last 12. He finished the season with 2,134 yards passing (158-for-248 with 12 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions) and rushed 171 times for 507 yards and three touchdowns. Was the Hokies No. 2 quarterback as a true freshman in 2001.
