In 18 games, Lacey recorded nine defensive tackles and 29 special teams tackles and one fumble recovery. In Week 17 against Saskatchewan he broke the Eskimo record for most special teams tackles in a single season. Lacey's was named the Eskimos nominee for the CFL's Most Outstanding Special Teams Player. In the Western Semi-Final against Saskatchewan, Lacey recorded one defensive tackle and two special teams tackles. In the Western Final against Calgary, Lacey recorded three defensive tackles and two special teams tackles. Lacey was named to the West Division All Star Team.
In four seasons (2009-12) at the University of West Alabama, Lacey recorded 267 tackles, nine quarterback sacks, six forced fumbles and five interceptions. As a junior, he was named the 2011 Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Year after recording 97 tackles, four quarterback sacks, two interceptions, four broken passes and a fumble recovery.
