Etienne recorded 1 interception, 23 tackles and 7 special teams tackles ont he way to winning his first Grey Cup with the Alouettes.
He trained and attended several camps with the New York Jets before joining the Alouettes during the season... He missed Games 8, 14, 15 and 16 with an ankle injury.
He finished second on the Alouettes for most interceptions and third for most knockdowns... He missed Games 11, 12 and 14 with a foot injury.
He finished fifth in the CFL for most special team tackles
He is involved in the Alouettes’ community programs in the off-season… He played for Team Canada at the 2002 NFL Global Junior Championship… He studied athletic therapy and kinesiology. Etienne attended Kent School in Kent, Connecticut. In his senior year, he led Kent to the New England Class A Championship in football as a running back and defensive back. Following the season, he was voted the New England Class A Player of the Year. Prior to attending Kent, he went to College Jean-Eudes in Montreal, Quebec where he was a defensive back on the football team.
