Bennett started all 18 games and registered 44 tackles, two tackles for a loss, three knockdowns, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and four interceptions for 14 yards. He was named a West Division all-star. He also started the Western Final and had one tackle and one interception.


Bennett played all 18 games and had 38 tackles, including two tackles for loss of eight yards, two special-teams tackles, three interceptions for 67 yards, five knockdowns and three forced fumbles including when he knocked the ball out of the hands of Montreal returner Noel Devine to save a touchdown on July 20. In the Western Final Bennett recorded three tackles.


Bennett appeared in all 18 regular-season games and made 17 starts at cornerback. He also played in all three of Calgary’s post-season contests. He finished sixth on the club with 47 tackles, including two tackles for loss. Bennett was also tied for second on the Stamps with two interceptions and five pass knockdowns. He added one forced fumble and two special-teams tackles. He recorded his first CFL interception on Oct. 13 at Winnipeg. Bennett’s second pick came on Nov. 2 in Edmonton. His season high in tackles was six, which took place in a Sept. 7 contest against the Eskimos. In the playoffs, Bennett registered nine tackles, two special-teams tackles and one pass knockdown.
