Bishop played 10 games and registered 16 tackles, a tackle for a loss and three sacks. He was on the injury list for seven games (2, 8, 9, 11, 16 17 and 18) and the reserve list for one game (10).


Bishop was on the practice roster when he signed with the team and was activated for games 6 and 7. He was on the injured list for game 8 before being placed back on the practice roster. Bishop also dressed for the Western Final.


Bishop played four years for the Western Michigan University Broncos. As a senior, Bishop started all 12 games, tallying 63 tackles including 11.5 tackles for loss and four sacks, placing him fifth among defensive linemen in the Mid-American Conference. His performance earned him second-team all-MAC honours and was also named the Broncos’ Outstanding Team Player. During his junior season, Bishop recorded career highs in tackles for loss (12) and sacks (5.5) en route to being named third-team all-MAC defensive end. In four seasons with the Broncos, the durable lineman missed only one game.
