On May 7th he signed with the Edmonton Eskimos.  Gardner sustained a hamstring injury during training camp and on June 5th was released.


Released by Jacksonville on May 4th.


On April 27th he signes with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent.  He started the season on the practice roster and was active for 4 games.


Played three seasons at Maryland (2005-07) after transferring from Notre Dame (2003)…2007 (Maryland) Started all 13 games at Cornerback. Made career-high 69 tackles...Led team with 10 PKDs...Tied for second on team with 2 INTs. 2006 (Maryland) Started all 13 games at Cornerback...Fifth on team with 63 stops...Made 4 PKDs and 1 INT. 2005 (Maryland) Saw action in 10 games, starting one at Cornerback...Made 15 tackles and 2 PKDs. 2004 (Transferred to Maryland) Sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules. 2003 (Notre Dame) Redshirt season


Isaiah, who also goes by Zeke, grew up in Virginia Beach but spent a lot of time in Detroit. Originally a gymnast who excelled at the high bar and competed nationally, he was also a three-year letter winner at Salem H.S., in Virginia Beach, as a running back. Isaiah’s younger brother, Emmanuel, is a Preacher in Virginia Beach, and his sisters are Jakell (older) & Tara (younger) and they live in Ohio. Isaiah’s parents are Frances Knight and Ronald Gardner. His first cousin is Grammy Award-winning artist Dwele and Ticats receiver Marquay McDaniel is among his closest friends. Isaiah has a two-year old Rottweiler named Primo. His degree is in criminology and criminal justice from Maryland and he lives near Washington, D.C. in the off-season.
