Johnson made 16 starts at corner during the regular season, registering 49 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, and a team high five interceptions and 12 pass knockdowns. He was a West division all-star at his position, and was named the 2007 Grey Cup MVP after a three-interception, one defensive touchdown performance against Winnipeg.
He had 33 defensive tackles, seven special teams tackles, and an interception in 13 regular season games. He added two interceptions in the West semi-final against Calgary.
Johnson spent two seasons at Arkansas State University, and led his team in interceptions his senior year, when he was also named All-Conference
