Zabransky has dressed for 10 games as the team's third-string quarterback.
After starting his Boise State career as a back-up to current Winnipeg quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie, Zabransky moved into the starting position his sophomore year (2004) leading the Broncos to an 11-1 record and was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player. He also set a school record for longest run from scrimmage when he scored an 84-yard TD against Hawaii. His senior year in ‘06, Zabransky guided BSU to a perfect 12-0 record, capturing Boise State’s fifth consecutive WAC championship. He capped off his college career by leading the Broncos to a thrilling 43-42 overtime win over Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl and was named Offensive Player of the Game. He left Boise State with 612 completions in 983 attempts for 8,256 yards and 58 touchdowns in 48 games (39 starts). Zabransky’s sterling collegiate career and Fiesta Bowl heroics earned him the honour of being on the cover of EA Sports “NCAA Football 08” video game.
He was married in May 2008 to Melissa Belin. They have a Yorkshire Terrier named Zeus and love to golf in their spare time. Jared attended Hermiston High School (Hermiston, OR) where he played football, baseball and basketball.
