Parquet was on the reserve list for the first four games of the season.He got his first start in Game 5 at right tackle. He played in 11 games (11 starts). He missed Game 11 to return home for a family emergency. He left the Oct 23 game early with a knee injury and was placed on the 1-Game Injured List for the remainder of the season.
He attended Destrehan High School (Destrehan, LA) where he did not allow one quarterback sack as a senior. He also participated in basketball and track & field (shot-put). He and his wife, Kristen, have two sons, Jeremiah and Joshua.
Jeremy played in 44 games (39 starts) for Southern Mississippi during his collegiate career. He was red-shirted as a true freshman. He earned First-Team All-Conference USA honours as a junior and Second-Team All-Conference USA honours as a senior.
Parquet was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round (238th overall) in the 2005 NFL Draft. He has been on the rosters of the Hamburg Sea Devils of the NFLE (2006), the NFL’s St. Louis Rams (2007) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2008). He made his NFL debut in the 2008 season in reserve action and went on to win Super Bowl XLIII with the Steelers. He most recently spent a season in the UFL with the Las Vegas Locomotives (2009).
