Reid was placed on the 9-Game Injured List to open the season. He was activated for Game 11 and in 7 games he had 10 defensive tackles (1 for a loss), 2 sacks, a special teams tackle and a knockdown. He was on the injured list for game 18.


Signed as a free agent on February 16, 2011. Reid played in 18 games (1 start) and had 14 defensive tackles and a quarterback sack. He was named Gibson's Finest Canadian Player of the Week for his five tackles and one sack against BC in Week 3. Jermaine also played in the Western Semi-Final and Western Final (3 tackles


Reid played in 7 games and recorded 9 Defensive Tackles, 3 QB Sacks, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 forced fumble.  This Ontario native has also played in the East Semi-Final, and recorded 3 Defensive Tackles.


In his third season as a Tiger-Cat, Reid played in eight games and recorded one defensive tackle and one special teams tackle. He was placed on the four-man inactive list for nine games and suffered an injury in Week 14. However, Reid was able to suit up in the Ticats Eastern Semi-Final loss to B.C


Started three of 14 games played during his second season in Hamilton…recorded six defensive tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery….spent one game on the injured list and was inactive for three others.


Started four of 14 games played in his rookie season with the Ticats…spent Week 5 on the injured list and was on the four-man reserve…recorded 11 defensive tackles, one quarterback sack, one tackle for a loss and one forced fumble…made his CFL and Ticats debut in Calgary on June 30…recorded his first career sack in the Ticats Labour Day loss to the Argonauts on September 3 when he brought down Michael Bishop in the first quarter.


Played four seasons (2003-05) with the University of Akron Zips…started 29 of 42 career games including 25 at defensive end and four at defensive tackle…made 130 total tackles (67 solo) including 23.5 for 90 yards in losses and 11.5 quarterback sacks…also forced four fumbles and recovered three. (2005) Started all 13 games at defensive end...led the team in sacks (seven) and second in tackles-for-loss (13.5)...ranked seventh in the MAC in sacks (.54 pg)...ranked sixth in the league in tackles for losses. (2004) Appeared in nine games on the defensive line...started the first two and last two games of the season at defensive tackle...made 19 total tackles (9 solo) including two for five yards in losses and 1.5 quarterback sacks. (2003) Appeared in eight games...made five total tackle (2 solo) as a freshman. (2002) Red-shirted as a true freshman. Started all 12 games at defensive during his senior season…finished eight one the Zips with 47 total tackles (23 solo)…tied for second on the team with eight tackles for a loss (8-31) and three quarterback sacks…recovered two fumbles and forced another


Jermaine Andre Reid was born April 19, 1983 in Pickering, Ontario...son of Lawrence and Veronica Reid…attended St. Mary's Catholic High School…ranked as the eighth-best prospect in Canada...earned first-team All-Greater Toronto honors...a two-year starter on the defensive line...team was runner-up in the 2001 Metro Bowl, which is the provincial championship game...invited to play on the Canadian national team...played basketball all four years.
