The 2011 year began with Jon in the starting lineup following a fine season in 2010 and a solid training camp, but another injury limited Jon’s appearances to two games before a stint on the injured list. However, Jon recovered and played in the final seven regular season games, as well as the Western Final and Grey Cup game, where he filled in for the majority of the contest after an injury sidelined Jesse Newman.
A season of personal triumph for the talented offensive lineman as he overcame three previous years of bad luck to play in 17 games for the Lions as well as the West Semi-Final. Jon started 17 of 18 games, missing only the Aug 7/10 game versus Calgary due to injury.
After suffering a shoulder injury in the Lions’ first preseason game, Jon spent the entire season on the injured list for the second consecutive season.
