2013

Jordan was signed by BC from the Saskatchewan Roughriders practice roster on July 9, 2013. He made his Lions debut in Week 3 and didn’t miss a start through the remaining 16 games on the schedule as well as the Western Semi-Final.  Playing a key role as the club’s long-snapper, Jordan notched eight special teams tackles on the season.

2008-2012

A former Canadian junior football standout, Matechuk attended training camp with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2007 before being signed by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2008. He would go in to play 41 regular season games with the ‘Cats over the three seasons collecting 23 special teams tackles.  After missing the 2011 campaign, Matechuk returned to the Blue Bombers in 2012 and dressed for one game and was on the 46-man roster for 10 others.  He was signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders this past May and was assigned to the club’s practice roster following training camp.

2007

Attended training camp with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

College

Played three seasons of Canadian Junior Football with three different teams…recorded 61 tackles, three quarterback sacks, three interceptions and blocked two kicks with the Victoria Rebels in 2007…recorded 50 defensive tackles, one blocked kick, one interception, one fumble recovery and one pass knockdown with the Winnipeg Rifles in 2006…Played with the Regina Thunder in 2005…also ranked as one of Canadian junior football’s top long snappers.
