Bell started all 18 games at safety and registered 56 tackles, three tackles for a loss of five yards, two special-teams tackles, a forced fumble and two interceptions for 43 yards. On July 18 against Hamilton, Bell moved to cornerback during the game and came up with his first interception as a Stampeder. He also started the Western Final and recorded three tackles and two knockdowns.


Bell made 16 regular-season starts at halfback for the Lions and was also a starter in the Western Semi-Final at Saskatchewan. He recorded 45 tackles, including four tackles for loss, during the regular season and added four special-teams tackles, four pass knockdowns and one interception. The pick, the first of Bell’s CFL career, came during an Aug. 22 game against the Montreal Alouettes. He recorded career-best totals of five tackles on Sept. 22 against Saskatchewan and Oct. 11 against Calgary. Bell had four tackles in the Western Semi-Final against the Roughriders.


Josh played in two games in his first CFL season as a reserve defensive back. He started in his first-ever CFL contest on Jul 14/12 at Saskatchewan and saw action as a reserve on Aug 31/12 at Montreal. Josh notched two special teams tackles in each game along with a defensive stop in his start at Regina. Josh spent the 13 games on the 46-man active roster as a reserve (not dressed) plus another three games on the injured list.
