Williams has played eight games (seven starts) and has recorded 34 defensive tackles, a special teams tackle and two knockdowns. He also returned three kicks for 45 yards. He was on the reserve list for games seven and eight with an injury.
After starting the first two games, Williams missed the next nine games with an injury. He returned to the line-up against Montreal on September 21. In nine games (nine starts) he had 35 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, one knockdown, two interceptions for 26 yards, three tackles for losses and three forced fumbles. He also had four kickoff returns for 99 yards. He started the East Semi-Final and recorded three defensive tackles, three special teams tackles and a forced fumble. He also started the East Final and had two defensive tackles.
In 2007, Williams joined the Eskimos mid-way through the season, making his CFL debut in Saskatchewan on August 18. He spent five games on the injured roster after suffering a knee injury on a kick return in Calgary at the Labour Day Classic.
A four-year starter at Southern, Williams led the Jaguars in tackles with 87 and was second with three interceptions. Williams started all 47 games of his collegiate football career, finishing with 273 tackles (7th on SU’s career tackle list) and had 15 career interceptions. One of the Southern captain’s in 2003, he was named the SWAC Defensive Player of the Year and was a three-time All-American and three-time First Team All-SWAC selection. Williams did not allow a touchdown catch by an opposing receiver during his final two seasons at Southern. He majored in Criminal Justice.
