2012

Dewit was acquired in a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Jan. 2, 2012, along with quarterback Kevin Glenn and a conditional pick in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft in exchange for quarterback Henry Burris.

2011

Dewit played nine regular-season games for Hamilton in 2011 and also played in the team’s two playoff games, including the East Division final.

2010

Mark attended training camp with the Toronto Argonauts, he was released on June 22

2008

Dressed in 18 games as a rookie primarily as a backup centre…Started 1 game at Left Guard vs Calgary… Week 1, Made CFL debut (27/06/08) dressing as backup Centre in win at Winnipeg…Weeks 2 to 11, Dressed as backup Centre…Week 12, Made first career CFL start (20/09/08) at LG in his hometown of Calgary…Week 13, Started at LG in loss vs Calgary…Week 14 to 18, Returned to backup role at OC and TE for remainder of season.

Personal

Mark spent the off-season in his hometown of Calgary taking courses toward his Bachelor of Commerce degree. He also coached a midget football team called the Bulldogs.  He has one older brother, Matthew and his favourite movie is Happy Gilmour and enjoys all types of music. A two-sport athlete, Mark won the CIS national wrestling championship in his weight class. He attended Bishop Carrol H.S. and won the Henry Philip Taylor award as the top student athlete and was a provincial high school wrestling champion in his weight class. His father, John, played NCAA football at Weber State and his mom is Sheryl.
