Amadi started the season’s first 11 games at defensive halfback before being sidelined by injury. For the season, he accumulated 27 tackles to go with one sack, one special-teams tackle and three pass knockdowns.
Amadi was a cornerback during his four-year career with the Kansas Jayhawks and also saw regular duty on special teams. He recorded 77 career tackles and also recorded a blocked kick and a forced fumble. His best season came in 2004 when he made 34 tackles and broke up five passes.

Amadi spent the 2008 season with the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League. In 2007, he played for the Green Bay Blizzard and led Arena Football League 2 in passes defended with 36. He has a twin brother, Donnie who also played for the Jayhawks. At Kansas, he was also a teammate of running back Jon Cornish, now a Stampeders running back. As a youngster, Amadi lived in Nigeria for six years. Prior to attending Kansas, Amadi was a football, baseball and track star for Alief Hastings High School near Houston, Tex.
