Dressed in 16 games in his rookie CFL season as a backup WE/TE and special teams player…Missed Weeks 4 & 13 with injuries… Week 1, Dressed at FB and played special teams at Winnipeg and recorded 1 ST tackle…Week 2, Dressed at FB and played special teams... recorded 1 ST tackle…Week 3, Dressed as backup FB and played special teams in loss at Edmonton…Recorded 2 ST tackles before leaving the game in the second half due to upper body injury…Week 4, Did not dress in win vs Edmonton due to shoulder injury… Week 6, Dressed at FB/TE and played special teams, recording 1 ST tackle, in win vs Winnipeg… Week 8, Dressed at FB/TE and played ST and recorded 1 ST tackle… Week 10, Dressed at FB and played special teams and made 1 ST tackle in loss at Montreal… Week 12-15, Added to IR with a shoulder injury… Week 16, Dressed at FB/TE and caught first-career CFL pass (18/10/08) for 7 yards in loss vs Montreal…Week 17, Dressed at backup FB/TE and caught 1 pass for 26 yards in loss at B.C.


2007 played in 12 of 13 games…recorded 31 receptions for 241 yards…scored 1 touchdown …2006 Spent season on IR…2005 Joined San Diego State late in fall camp out of Butte Community College…Played nine of the team's final 10 contests...Did not record a catch…Junior College All-Region and All-Conference pick at Butte College…Earned honorable mention All-American...Caught 14 passes for 205 yards and a TD as a sophomore on a 9-2 Roadrunner squad.


Attended Carson-Graham High School while growing up in North Vancouver, B.C. He was a tight end and defensive end as senior and a wide receiver as a junior. Steve was voted a provincial all-star and played on a provincial championship team. He was a sociology major in college.  Steve married Melissa, a personal trainer, this off-season and worked with autistic children at KidsCan in Port Credit.
