Seeing action in five regular season games, Steven recorded his first pro tackle Nov 1/14 in Edmonton to go along with a pair of special teams stops on the year.


Steven saw his first CFL action in 2013 making his debut in the season-opener at Calgary. He played the next game vs Toronto at home and then spent two weeks on the injured list before moving to the club’s practice roster for the final 14 games of his rookie year.


Steven signed with the Lions in 2012 as a territorial protection and attended the club’s training camp in Kamloops. He spent the season on the club’s practice roster while enjoying another standout season in the junior ranks with the Okanagan Sun.


2012: The hulking defensive lineman enjoyed another CJFL All-Star campaign for the Sun, notching 34 tackles, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Was named Wk #4 BCFC defensive player of the week after establishing a new CJFL career sack record on Aug 25.12 with his 37.5th sack in his 34th game. Also named Wk #2 BCFC Defensive player of the week. 2011: In his third season with the Sun, Doege recorded 12 sacks and established a new club record for career sacks en route to being named a BCFC All Star, CJFL All Canadian, CJFL Outstanding Defensive Player and the Sun's Most Valuable Player. 2010: In just his second season with Okanagan, Doege set a club record for sacks in a season (11.5) and became the team's all-time sack leader. He was named a CJFL All Canadian, BCFC All-Star, BCFC top defensive lineman and the BCFC's top defensive player for his efforts. 2009: Doege had a dominant first season with the Sun and was named the club's top rookie in addition to receiving his first BCFC All-Star nod. He tied the CJFL record for sacks in a game (5) versus the Big Kahuna Rams.
