Words of Wisdom from a CFL Draft-Pick – Max Caron

We reached out to a few members of the 2014 CFL draft class to see what they would advise the 2015 hopefuls as they prepare for evaluation camp next weekend. Linebacker and special teams specialist for the Calgary Stampeders; Max Caron, wanted this to be heard:

Caron“At this point all of you have done everything you can to prepare yourself. Continue that preparation and make sure you have enough time to do your warm-ups and everything you need to do to test. Go to your interviews with an idea of who you might me in the room: head coach, GM, positional coach, special teams coach, etc. Be confident, not cocky; they will test you to see how you react, but always remember that they wouldn’t interview you if they weren’t interested. With everything you do, remember the only person you’re really competing with is yourself, in an effort to showcase 100% of what you offer as a football player. Have fun, good results or bad, when it’s done it’s done, you can be proud of your accomplishments.”

– Max Caron, Calgary Stampeders, 16th overall pick in the 2014 CFL Draft
