Royal Roads University

The CFLPA and Royal Roads University have teamed up to add to the lessons learned on the gridiron, to prepare current CFL players for lives and careers after they’ve left behind sweaty locker rooms, ice baths and taped fingers.

CFLPA has worked with RRU’s Professional and Continuing Studies to create a course in Sport Leadership designed for the athletes it represents. Our second annual offering is now complete, with big plans for 2023!

Saskatchewan Polytechnic

The CFLPA and Saskatchewan Polytechnic have partnered to provide Academy members access to the polytechnic’s School of Continuing Education courses and programs through a tuition benefit program.

Additionally, CFLPA members’ spouses can also be able to access this fantastic resource.

Spectrum Airways

The CFLPA Academy and Spectrum Airways Flight Training & Career College have established a partnership geared to combine our collective expertise as we continue to deliver flexible and quality education to any CFL players interested in pursuing careers in aviation.

Skillplan

Collectively, CBTU and SkillPlan, with contractor and employer partners, invest in and grow the skilled trades workforce to meet labour market demands; through this partnership, CBTU and SkillPlan will help equip CFLPA members to pursue a career in the unionized construction industry.

Training Division

Training Division is proud to partner with the Canadian Football League Players Association to provide scholarships to their members for our online based Basic Fire Academy. This program will provide CFLPA members with the NFPA 1001: Firefighter Level I&II and NFPA 472: Hazmat Awareness and Operations certifications needed to apply to fire departments throughout Canada, US, and the World.
